Most people will agree with me when I say that Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It’s the first thing you eat each day (most of the time anyway) and it breaks the fasting period your body has had during your sleep – hence breakfast.
A lot of people skip breakfast due to not having time to make something. Especially when you’re trying to be healthy and not have any prepacked food. Preparing good healthy meals can be time consuming.
But what if there was something that only takes 20-25 minutes? Or even better, can be made the evening before? Could this solve the old age issue of “I don’t have time to make anything”? Oh yes, it could.

Usually, after a Wednesday weigh in, I reflect on the last week. I am still doing that here, but not for me. I’m not the only person on this wonderful journey to lose weight. There are two of us in our house. Yes, my wonderful
better other half is also losing weight well too.
Like me, my wife has done Slimming World time after time, even became a consultant and had her own group for a while. I bet if we asked her, she’d say being a Slimming World consultant was the best job she’s had. You could tell when running the groups, she loved it.
I speak of her being a Slimming World consultant in the past tense, as it was before child number 2 came on the scene and before we moved to be closer to my family. I’ll admit I got roped in by choice. I helped with some of the admin sides of the job and made some of the advertising posters for her. I even helped walking the miles posting leaflets through 1000’s of doors around the area.

It’s January and as expected Social media is full of those “New Year New Me” types who are all of a sudden on a diet in a bid to lose a few lbs. Give it another 4 or so weeks and most of them will have disappeared into the ether.
Our Slimming World Group had a good number of people join last week. It’s not only the New Year rush, as there is also an offer on joining at the moment. But either way, we have fresh blood in the group. I like it when new people join as when people share what sort of things they’ve enjoyed eating, our consultant makes them elaborate on what ingredients are used to the new people can understand better how Slimming World works. This works in my favour too as sometimes a seasoned member can pick up some new tricks etc.
