The uncertainty, the feeling of not knowing what the expect. Change can sometimes be a good thing, sometimes not. Hopefully, the changes I am going through at the moment are going to be good.
Last week was very emotional for both me and the wife. Around 11 and a half years ago, I started at a company that had just been bought by BT (British Telecom). Back in March 2008, I started out as a First Line Support Engineer in what was my second IT job since leaving full-time education. Over the years I went from First Line Support to Second Line and then Third Line. I also chucked in a stint at management during that time which I really did not like.
But I didn’t only just progress my career there. A lot changed for me personally too. When I started there I had a girlfriend who I had been with since the end of school. We were growing apart and we broke up. When that happened I had my best of friends around me (they know who they are if they read this) and I also had the woman who is now my wife.

Where do I begin? It’s been a few weeks. I got to admit the last few weeks have not been easy, not in the slightest. But when life throws some decisions and challenges at us, it is how we react and come out the other side that define us
That said, am I in a good place following said few weeks? I don’t know if I’m honest. I’m excited about what the future will bring, but I’m also scared so much because I am miles out of my comfort zone.
Now, this is a weight loss blog. People don’t come here to read about how to keep it together in your head. I’m not here for that. What I am here for is to explain there can easily be a direct correlation between one’s state of mind and achieving a steadfast weight loss each week.

Last week, you will have likely read about me nowt having a great week. A lot of the blame went towards it being my birthday at the time, but in the end life is for living for not dieting.
As long as I keep to plan in between occasions, I should see a good loss over the course of a month or a year. After all, turning 32 doesn’t mean I have to be fat forever.
This week was much better compared to last week. I kept tracking virtually all my food and kept to my points allowance the best I could. there were a couple of things here and there which weren’t tracked, so it wasn’t a 100% week, but it was a hell of a lot better.

For the most part of 2019, I’ve written a weekly “Time to Reflect” post which looks back on my week. This has been my way of posting about my loss for said week. I’m changing things up a bit now though…
I’m starting a new post feature called “My Weight Loss Notes”. I will still writing the Time to Reflect posts too, but they will be more about how I’m feeling and dealing with the journey of losing weight, where as the Weight Loss Notes will be me talking about my actual weight loss so far. It will be where I can put down what I did during the week, how I’m changing physically (if at all) etc.
It’s basically another post for me to blog about. Writing to this blog has kept me on track when previously I would have thrown in the towel. It’s given me a place to put down my struggles and my achievements. Anything new I can bring will keep me motivated to do more.
