I set myself some targets to complete this year. Well, I’m part way to completing one of them as of now. If you want to read up on my targets for 2020, see Move Over New Year, It’s A New Decade.
The target I’m posting about is Enter a Sportive. As of tonight, I’ve booked a place on the Southwell Cycle Tour. They have three different distances; Short (33 Miles), Medium (59 Miles) and Long (80 Miles). I’ve booked onto the Short (33 Miles) ride, something I’ve never achieved in a single ride yet, even if it doesn’t seem that far.
If anything this should give me the kick I need to get on the bike and get going. I know the weather isn’t brilliant here in the UK at the moment with storm after storm battering our little island, but I have the turbo trainer and I’ve the time to get the training in.
I’m now on a count down to the 29th of March. I can and will do this.
The course itself doesn’t look overly demanding. No overly steep hills to worry about, seems fairly rolling. I best get my bum into gear now.
